High flow replacement air filter kit for all R129 SL600 1992-2002.

This kit replaces the entire OEM airbox assembly from the MAF sensor forward. Our custom MAF adapter utilizes the clips and O-rings from the OEM airbox for a factory fit and airtight seal. Simply remove your airboxes and install these in their place. 30 min installation. 

The OEM SL600 air filters each have a surface area of roughly 30 in², which is exceptionally undersized for a 6.0 liter engine. Each of our filters have a surface area close to 90 in² to ensure the engine never runs out of fresh air, and the higher flowing media makes it easier for the engine to access more air at any point in the RPM range.

This results in quicker throttle response, more torque at lower RPMs, and a stronger pull all the way through redline. 

All of our intakes utilize genuine AFE Power MagnumFlow air filters for the absolute best in filtration for your beloved Benz. These are American made and thoroughly tested for filtration efficiency and performance. These are dry element filters, no oil to damage MAF sensors. Clean, wash, dry and reuse every 10k miles.

This system also utilizes our upgraded grill ducts to ensure the filters never run out of fresh, cold air. These ducts fill the entire space through the frame, rather than the narrow snouts on the OEM air boxes.

All of our intakes now include our precision engineered ram-air intake ducts. By directing fresh, high-velocity air into the intake path, these ducts help create a mild “ram air” effect at speed—building higher air pressure at the filters. The result is a denser air charge, improved throttle response, and greater efficiency.

All plastic parts are constructed from PA12-Carbon Fiber for superior heat resistance, chemical resistance, and strength.
